My very good friend and former bandmate, Josh Hight has just released his new album safe.plain under his IRONS moniker. The record features collaborations with Ryan Rapsys & Ryan Weinstein (Euphone) and Mark Hardy - and is really a truly great album. Opening track "still.water" is breathtaking - the album as a whole actually is just gorgeous - in its best moments strands of Low, Slowdive, The Velvet Underground, and Jeff Buckley weave into one of the best records I've heard this year.
